"Complementary currency in three acts" was produced in consultation and collaboration with the community for whom it was made and then gifted to that group. One currency was created as trading cards with shifting values (action/meditation/diagram) for the students of a drawing class Mann taught. Another was created for the Fellows of Contemporary Art (FOCA) in the form of one commemorative bill for each exhibit FOCA has sponsored. A third currency was created for a Feminist reading group Mann is a part of (called Mañana Por La Mañana), to be changed/added to with each reading/meeting.

"In each other we trust" are two nylon banners of collected images from complementary currencies in circulation all over the world.

Both pieces were part of the project Performing Economies at the Fellows of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, curated by Elana Mann.
