The project began through an invitation by Juliana Snapper for Elana Mann to direct her in Act 111, scene 1 of the Wagner opera "Die Walkure."  Mann subsequently produced a two channel video of the work they made together entitled Hojotoho! A serial staging of Die Walkure. Act 111, scene 1, 2010, 3:00 min. trt, two-channel video.

Mann then invited Snapper to direct her in song.  Mann merged together songs by the Rolling Stone and Patty Smith.  Through the direction of Snapper she performed and then created Wild Horses, or Land, horses, land of a thousand dances, la mer (de), 2010, 3:31 min. trt, single channel HD video.
